Going Down To Cairo

I learned this version of Going Down to Cairo from the Old Town School of Folk Music’s Hands On CD.  See my notes in the "Liza Jane" lesson for more information of the Hands on CD.

"Going Down to Cairo" is one of the few songs from Illinois.  And since I was born and still reside in Illinois, it’s mandatory that I include this tune in the lesson space on OTMMM. The Old Town School website has short history of the "Going Down to Cairo".   The history of "Going Down to Cairo".
